Pipe Hangers for Condominium Garages and Marine Docks and Piers

As time goes on going maintenance becomes more and more expensive.  Not only direct labor, but the management oversight and scheduling, the chance for a maintenance operation resulting in creating a new problem, a worker injury, or difficulty of sourcing the same components that were used initially. 

The first step of on going cost reduction is longevity of the installation and longevity of the components used.

For example, you may have a 1st floor Condominium Garage near salt water and salt air.  Iif the garage has drainage and plumbing supported on the garage ceiling and your piping support system uses common galvanized pipe hangers you will be painting them and replacing them on a regular basis.  If you had designed in or upgraded to a fully composite system of pipe hangers you will never have to paint and you will never need to replace a hanger due to corrosion.  There is simply nothing to react with composites in the sea mist. 

Of course if you have a marine structure such as a dock or pier over water, especially salt water the lifetime of corrosive metals are very short.

Pipe Hanger Systems Specifications

1.0 Scope

1.1 Super Hanger Pipe Hanger System comprised of all nonmetallic corrosion resistant materials is covered in this specification

2.0 Material Properties

2.1 Super Hanger shall be of PVC having relative property and physical load values as per attached data and chemical resistance values (contact factory).

2.2 Super Clevis Hanger shall be of injection molded glass fiber reinforced polyurethane and hand lay up molded glass fiber reinforced polyester and vinylester having relative property and physical load values as per attached data and chemical resistance values (contact factory).

2.3 Super Rod shall be of pultruded fiberglass with vinylester resin having the relative property values as per attached data and chemical resistance values (contact factory).

2.4 Super Nut shall be of injection molded glass fiber reinforced polyurethane having the same property values and chemical resistance values as the Super Clevis Hanger.

3.0 Design Properties

3.1 The "patented" Super Hanger design allows for ease of installation on both new and used pipe, structural strength for pipe loadings, all nonmetallic components for maximum corrosion resistance and maintenance free properties, and sizes to support various pipe diameters. Requires local approval for applications other than D.W.V.

4.0 Conclusion

4.1 Super Hanger, Super Clevis Hanger, Super Rod and Super Nut shall be furnished as a nonmetallic system.
